Terms of Service

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Accounts may be suspended if they are used for fraud, abuse, or to infringe the rights of others.

When you buy a book you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to read and download that title. Downloaded copies are locked to the device used for the first download and cannot be resold, shared, or transferred.

Prices are shown in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and include VAT at the applicable rate. Payment is collected through Safaricom M-Pesa.

Authors retain copyright in their work. By publishing on SOKOKITABU you grant us a non-exclusive licence to distribute your titles and confirm you hold all necessary rights to the content you upload.

Authors earn 70% of net revenue (after VAT) on each sale. Payouts are requested from the Author Studio and processed to your registered M-Pesa number after review.

You agree not to upload unlawful content, attempt to bypass our device-locking or access controls, or interfere with the operation of the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SOKOKITABU after changes means you accept the updated terms.
